We are incredibly proud of the results from our latest blower door test at the Witchcliffe Ecovillage.

The Result: 0.33 ACH @ 50 Pascals.

To put that in perspective, a Certified Passive House must achieve 0.6 or less. Well below the benchmark. This means the home is exceptionally airtight, ensuring our clients enjoy a space that is quieter, healthier and costs a fraction of the price to heat and cool.

Exciting news for Ellenbrook! 🏡👏 Five new homes have been completed for social housing in the north-eastern Perth suburb, due to be connected to Metronet with the opening of the new train line later this year.

The new three bedroom, one-bathroom, and four bedroom, two-bathroom homes have been built to silver Liveable Homes standard – one by Eco Homes Group and four by First Homebuilders – and are now in the process of being offered to applicants from the public housing wait list.

Since our record $3.2 billion investment in social housing and homelessness measures, we’ve added more than 2,300 social homes, with more than 1,000 social homes currently under contract or construction, throughout Western Australia.

Understanding the difference: Passive House and passive solar design both aim for energy efficiency but aren't the same. 🌞🏠 Passive House emphasizes airtight construction, insulation, and efficient systems, while passive solar design harnesses the sun's energy, wind, and overall weather patterns, using building orientation and materials to naturally regulate temperature. Both promote sustainable living!
