Today the EG team came together to celebrate National Reconciliation Week through food, conversation, and connection. The shared lunch was a wonderful opportunity for our team to share stories, cultures and traditions from across our diverse workforce, reminding us that reconciliation starts with listening, learning and building stronger relationships together. Thank you to everyone who contributed a dish, shared their story, and helped create such an inclusive and welcoming event by talking about what reconciliation means to them.

We’re honoured to be the official Lanyard Sponsor and are looking forward to connecting with delegates, attending the Gala Dinner, and celebrating the incredible work happening across communities and organisations nationally.

We’re also excited to be finalists in the Excellence in Cultural Revitalisation, Preservation and Resurgence category for the Cultural Mapping: Muntulgura Guruma Language and Significant Site Digitisation and Preservation Project.

A special highlight for us will be seeing our Managing Director Tania Stevens and Judih Judih Aboriginal Corporation Chair Wayne Stevens present on this important project and the ongoing work to preserve and protect Muntulgura Guruma language, culture and significant sites for future generations.

This week we're proud to officially launch the Eastern Guruma 2026 NAIDOC Shirt. Inspired by this year’s NAIDOC theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” the design celebrates the strength, resilience, growth and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Created from artwork by Loretta Egan, the design tells the story of Eastern Guruma’s journey over the past 22 years, from humble beginnings to the strong and growing company we are today. We look forward to seeing our team proudly wearing the shirt during NAIDOC celebrations and throughout the year.
