I'm walking 60km this October to help fund support services for Australian's living with mental illness.

We at JR Civil Construction were proud to take part in the annual Mates in Construction Fly the Flag Day held in September to raise awareness of mental health and su***de prevention.

Not something commonly talked about is that construction workers are 6 times more likely to be lost to su***de than a workplace accident.

So don't forget to look out for your mates and if you see signs they may be struggling don't hesitate to approach them, strike up a 'fair dinkum' conversation and listen without judgement and an open mind.
