Replaced an old 7 kW with a new 8 kW Bronte, and fitted a 3.5 kW Avanti to the master bedroom.

Pipework run through the roof space to keep both outdoor units together on one wall, with a Colorbond pipe cover for a tidy finish.

Fitting an aircon vent in a garage ceiling is a little different to your standard job.

In most of the house the ceiling is gyprock, so you trace the hole and cut it out with a gyprock saw. Easy. Garage ceilings are usually fibre cement sheet (Hardiflex), and a gyprock saw just won’t get through it.

So here’s how we do it at All Degrees. We trace the outline in pencil as normal, then stitch drill right around the line with a drill bit to create a clean perforated edge. The centre snaps out neatly, and from there we fit the grille like any other outlet.

End result looks exactly the same as it would anywhere else in the house. Clean finish, no cracked sheets, no mess.

From a basic Fujitsu controller to a full AirTouch 5. Same ductwork, same indoor unit, completely different experience.
