Hey everyone

Alot of our clients may have rolled up home this week to their lawns looking real sad! Dont be alarmed this is planned and is how I manage my sanity while working with fast growing couch/kik lawns with fortnightly mowing.

What you are seeing is a height reset, by lowering the height of the canopy we reset the crown of the lawn, giving us more room above the thatch layer for fresh green leaves, and we all love that! Spring is starting and we are looking forward to maintaining lovely lawns!

If your lawn has been reset multiple times and you are fighting to keep consistent green colour, it may be time for a lawn renovation.

If this reaches you and your lawn has become stagnant or a nightmare to mow dont hesitate to yell out for a quote.

This post is spot on, kikuyu is relentless in prime conditions, once a kikuyu lawn needs renovating it becomes a beast that will fight your every attempt to tame.

As this post suggests even being cut weekly + it will still eventually grow itself into a position that is incredibly hard to manage without a renovation or vertimowing at the very least.

If you are sitting on a kikuyu lawn that has turned mowing into a nightmare, dont hesitate to reach out for a quote, your lawn will thank you and mowing will be something you cant wait to do when you finish work.

Something different before the season starts and we spam you with lawn photos and reno content!

I am interested to hear story's of your most awkward situations since starting your business (even if its not in lawncare), surely someone has mowed the wrong lawn and had the owner tell them half way through, what did you do? or if you are a common man/woman and want in, you are more then welcome.

Ill go first.
I was rolling up in the truck to do the second mow on a new clients lawn and its 2 neighbours, with another lawn mowing service infront of me, he pulled up (opposite side of the street to my 3 lawns, I pulled up behind him.
When we got out i joked and said, "you stealin my lawns, we both laughed and he pointed at my new lawn and said he was mowing that...
I told him "nah", I too was the lawn daddy of this street and was about to have my way with that small patch of delicious buffalo and its friends.

We had a yarn, he was a nice guy, He went and knocked on the door to speak to the owner and proceeded to get sacked rite infront of me, while i uncomfortably got my tools ready to mow this piece, wishing my stick edger was the nimbus2000 so I could be anywhere but there....then swoop back through straight after to treat them lawns real nice.
Crazy awkward situation for all involved, how universally s**t is all of our luck for that to even happen 😄

A few pics of what actually happens when you trust me with your properties while your at work, 100% legit photos.

Lawn care is a lonely job sometimes, so dont be alarmed when you check cameras and see me rolling around on your delicious freshly cut lawn, giggling like a small boy while spooning your dog 😄
Its the highlight of my day...this week a sausage dog that has barked at me for 3 years straight finally sniffed my hand and let me pat him! We became mates immediately! (Picture below of how it happened in my head) From that moment on i new this week was going to be special!

Have a good weekend people and let me spoon all your dogs or your price is going up!

As you can see, kikuyu is another absolute sausage dog of a lawn, constantly demands additional love, the more love you show it the harder it makes your life until it becomes almost impossible to love.
Rite when you think it can't be anymore difficult it pi**es on all your favourite stuff.
I took a very brief liking to kikuyu last season, but now realise a happy, fast growing kik lawn draws all its growing energy directly from the soul of the poor bastard trying to look after it lol!

Today this kik lawn drew the short straw and copped a mid winter reset, and it felt good to take it down a notch!

Today marks 12 years since I met big mama candy, without her who knows where i would be, but I'm almost certain it wouldn't be good, and it wouldn't have led us to creating this business we are extremely proud of servicing our many awesome clients!

As you can see we don't muck around at work or outside of it! Whilst this was a day of love and quality family photos, we did discuss business and worked to see if "the man barrow" was a viable option for mowing if fuel prices soar again seeing as goats 🐐 are hard to transport

Let's hope not!

Grazing Adventures supplied the platter and are delicious for anyone else as useless as me when it comes to being romantic!
