We’re incredibly grateful to Joe and the team at Tree Care WA, who have been generously helping us clear away our old browse and enrichment — completely free of charge.

They mulch everything on site, which means we can reuse it in our garden beds and keep our waste footprint low. It’s an invaluable service, especially since we pride ourselves on providing large volumes of fresh browse for our animals — but it does pile up fast and needs to be managed regularly.

Thanks again to Tree Care WA for supporting WA Wildlife in such a practical and impactful way.

A recent Poplus nigra removal on the foreshore utilising traffic management and a crane on a cool 41 degree day. ☀️

Unfortunately this was scheduled to be removed due to being positive for polyphagous shot hole borer (PSHB).

Early detection of PSHB in trees is imperative to mitigating the spread, for more information please head to the DPIRD website.
