Stage 1 completed and handed over.
We are taking a modest 90m2 3x1 house and transforming it into a spacious 210m2 family home with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a generous open plan kitchen and living area. All being done with minimal disruption to the occupants who have remained living in the home. This is achieved by using thoughtful design that not only suits the client's wishes and needs but by also taking into consideration their living situation and financial limitations.

It's easy to say, we know, but at Great Eastern Building Co we realise that the only way to succeed is by staying true to these principles and delivering on them.

With a focus to the north and south of Perth's eastern corridor, including the Perth Hills, we offer a complete design and construct service for new homes, extensions and bespoke outdoor structures.

We design to your budget rather than build to it; put simply, there's no point designing something that is unaffordable. Rather than drag the client into deep water by means of contracts and commitments we start by first providing a concept design and with it a complete and thorough estimate. This way, you, the client can clearly see a vision of the plan and, importantly, how much it will cost. Essentially, it can be viewed as a feasibility study.

Building an energy efficient structure doesn't mean more cost. Rather, it just needs to be designed to suit its surrounding environment. We take particular care to maximise energy efficiency by incorporating the free principles of solar passive design. Incorporating this with the use of alternative and traditional building materials will not only create a beautiful home but will also provide a legacy for future generations. It's just another advantage of having your building individually designed rather than trying to adjust an "off the shelf" plan. Nothing feels better than living in a home that has been designed exclusively for you and your environment.

We are just as comfortable building in difficult terrain as we are on a flat site. So if you are thinking of building in the Perth Hills then we are here to offer our experience and expertise. Getting a structure out of the ground can often be the most difficult and expensive part of a build. Costs to do this can be dramatically under estimated and often are. Site works can easily blow a budget and compromise the success and standard of the final build. We encourage anyone thinking of building in the Perth Hills or on unconventional terrain to contact us. Again, design is critical. Working with the building's surrounding geography is the key to success.
