What a crazy two years it's been... Seriously... WOW!
For those of you who have been tracking with us from the start, you would remember the frequent blogs here. Most of them were educational and always designed to deliver value. You're in for one tonight 🤣🤣🤷♀️.
That was about 9/10 years ago when I created the first version of a reno page and platform. Even before the business had it's name, I was showcasing our work and educating people! Can you believe it!
The last 2 years however have been a shocker. Honestly though, I think that would be true for every business owner and most people.
One minute we're gearing up for the new year, the next... we're in full lock down.
Then we course correct to virtual quotes, only to miss out a regrouping over Christmas because... the government decides to provide grants. Yay for the people but oh my goodness for the construction industry and their teams and families.
2021 has been insane trying to keep up with our clients needs and the way of the world (deliveries/trade supply and availability/stock from the eastern states/suppliers and their availability), you name it... it's been bananas 🍌🤣!
But you know what?
We're still standing, although tired.. not going to deny that.
We've made it work and we've done it as a team.
We've also created some of our best work to date during it all and the projects still being created, are shaping up be just as good.
No, we haven't been able to service everyone. That was hard to acknowledge but... in order to deliver quality, sometimes the quantity needs to be reduced.
For those of you who are ex clients or used our services, you know that a lot of time is given just to get an accurate quote to you.
Not a lazy... it'll be about price.
Not a general... in the ball park of price.
Nope...
There's meet and greets.
There's architectural and structural drawings created and/or studied.
There's free design and product guidance.
There's a direct line to call for questions or worries.
There's even a full team, trades to site...
All before we ask for any payment or, commitment.
Why?
Because it's the best way to deliver the best results!
FOR OUR CLIENTS.
Yes... it is time-consuming and labour intensive but It's part of the PRP experience. Job accepted or not!
Tonight though, as I realise that our website is down... (behind the scenes extra work that's part of it all🤦♀️), as I'm searching the business name to see where the site is, I see a review!
It's a review on this page actually... there for you all to see!
A review not recommending us. Noice!!!🤷♀️
Why?
"After an initial great first meeting, they forgot all about us!" Very close to that, but go ahead and read it for yourself if you like... they left it for you after all!!
Ok...
People be people first up, it is what it is!
But really?
I happen to remember these clients... I usually do because I personally service our clients.
They came in from a street sign. They watched as we did our extension and created what we did.
I did go out...
Helped with design, floor plan, ideas and even products.
They had been let down by a previous builder apparently years before so I felt called to help.
Sick kid and all... we did pull the team on site to quote.
BUT...
Got swamped with current clients and projects.
They were told we were under the pump too so it's not like we disappeared.
We did go all the way to the trades to site, so it's not like we enjoy wasting our time either just quietly!
But nonetheless, they were lost in the year that has been. That's on me FYI.
Question though...
Did they call? NO!
Did they email? NO!
BUT...
They left me and all of you, their review.
So here's the message I leave for them and for you all...
Businesses are run by human beings, just like you and me.
If you're not happy with a business, use your phone to call or text if you want an urgent response... lucky our clients have that!! Or, you can email and admin will get back to you!
Personally, I think twice before taking to a business' socials to say what a call, text or email could allow me to say.
But... if you are someone who plays like this, better we know now than later right!
A public shaming deserves a public explanation.
And to the person who decided to use this space for their preferred method of communication... I really do hope you get a beautiful extension. I really did love your home, meeting the family and doing all the work I and the team did for you.
My apologies for not being able to provide you with a quote, that really isn't good enough despite the roller-coaster that has been. I saw your feedback and I hope you receive my response. Good luck with your project ###
