ALBANY RING ROAD COMPLETED

Roads 2000 and the Politis Group are proud to have completed the new interchange at Menang Drive and Albany Highway.

Our project management team oversaw the sealing, profiling and asphalt surfacing for the first phase of the Albany Ring Road project on behalf of Decmil and Main Roads Western Australia.

The Albany Ring Road is host to the first grade-separated interchange in the Great Southern region.

COMMUNITY OUTCOMES

On Saturday night Stirling Macedonia FC hosted over 1000 locals as they competed in the Football Australia Cup.

The Politis Group values of doing it right the first time and teamwork, were shared by the team as they celebrated a 3-2 win over traditional rivals Floreat Athena.

Good Friday Footy has come to Optus Stadium!

This week we would like to run a giveaway on 2 tickets to the AFL clash between West Coast Eagles and Port Adelaide Football Club. Building on last week's post about the importance of community, this week we will continue to discuss our role within society.

Roads 2000 is an organisation that is determined to make our society a stronger and more inclusive place. In line with this, it is with great pride we welcome and celebrate the completion of the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space in Dalkeith. As a valued client, we would like to credit the City of Nedlands, in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Nedlands, Subiaco and West Perth, on building a cutting-edge play facility for people of all ages and abilities.

When approached regarding this project, we were thoroughly excited to be involved in such a great initiative and noted its significance and value it brings to the community. As such, we happily donated asphalt to help ensure that our communities are strong and inclusive for all.

We cannot thank the City of Nedlands and the Wheatley family enough, for letting us be involved in something so special! We hope that many happy memories are created for everyone who gets to this fantastic community facility.

Phase one of the All Abilities Play Space on the Nedlands foreshore – including the main playground area – has officially opened with a new name.

This week, we will be exploring Roads 2000's role within the community. Community is fundamental to the quality of life we enjoy in Western Australia. At Roads 2000, the importance of community is always a point of focus. When undertaking new projects we consider how the community will be impacted, in line with our value of service with contribution.

As such, we are proud long term major sponsors of the Stirling Lions FC. Stirling Lions have a long and proud history, dating back to their foundation in 1958. Each week Stirling compete in Football West's NPL WA.

This weekend Stirling take on league leaders, Bayswater City Soccer Club at Frank Drago Reserve.

Project: Supply & Lay Asphalt in the Goldfields
Client: Lendlease for Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA)

The works on Great Eastern Highway as depicted, displayed the capabilities of Politis Companies throughout the project; Roads 2000 Production team manufacturing compliant main roads specification mix, BBT Transport delivering this product to the Roads 2000 Laying team. Upon delivery, the Laying team ensured that the road upgrades were completed to a high standard whilst minimizing hassle to residents, by maintaining access to road users.

Project: Supply & Lay Asphalt in the Goldfields

Throughout February and March 2018, Roads 2000 had the pleasure of providing the communities of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and Kambalda, Western Australia, an upgrade to their road environments. As always, we made a commitment to provide more than just a product, we worked together to provide our clients and the people within their communities an asset that everyone can be proud of.

This week we will explore the project through some great pictures taken by our staff on site. Today we begin with Hannan St, Kalgoorlie. Our dedicated team stayed true to our core values of Service with Excellence, Contribution with Accountability & Respect and Loyalty, to deliver a refreshing upgrade to this iconic WA landmark; on time and within budget. All the while, causing minimum disruption to businesses & shoppers alike.
