Big first week out here preparing a new school site. Around 20,000t material to shift. First carpark boxed out at grade with the GPS 25t excavator ready for the Posi grader to final this week under control and precision of the total station. Building areas are to be over cut 600mm and clearances of any rubble before placing clean fill in 300mm compacted layers.

We don’t often work in the landscape world these days but when a friend recommends, you help out.
I gotta say, what a transformation!!

Task: We boxed out the area -160mm and remove waste. Supplied and laid 100mm roadbase, compacted and trimmed followed by a 60mm layer of 20-30mm crushed brick.

Tight one to finish off the year.
Wanting to preserve the surrounding Lawn and Trees etc. but having to remove a number of stumps as well as the reinforced slab. We had the 5t excavator onsite actually looking big in this little space. We quickly discovered rock in ground which meant cutting the entire split level pad to varying depth generally around -600 of FL and finding space to stockpile, rake and replace the soil. It was indeed time consuming but we had a great outcome with no damage to all surrounding areas.

Here we have the preparation for a concrete Hardstand. Maximising the area whilst working in with the surrounding levels. We went ahead first with the demolition and clearing works followed by remediation of the subgrade then cut/filled final subgrade levels by laser grader at 1.2% cross fall. Just a 100mm sand pad over was required as the concrete slab to be installed only has a 5yr intended use before full re-development goes ahead for the site.

Bit of a transformation. 1 week turn around for the 3500m3 area. Bush cleared, root matt grubbed out. Import clean fill, compact and trim. Ready for sum resort style living.
(And don’t worry, the grass trees were professionally transplanted)

Quick topsoil strip and now it’s onto Buisness. A number of levels to cut on this steep hillside job.
Clay, Rock, Culverts, Septics. It’s got it all.
