Earlier this month, GHEMS was on the ground in Esperance conducting seed collection supervision and training with Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation . It was an incredible week filled with knowledge-sharing and hands-on experience. Together, we successfully collected 10kg+ of provenance seed, contributing to ongoing conservation and restoration efforts. 🌿💪

August saw GHEMS wrap up its winter planting campaign along the new Yanchep Rail Extension for NEWest and Metronet. Scope of works included the installation of 530,000 seedlings, 400 mature trees and the supply and installation of 100kg of native seed over 14.5km of rail.

We recently celebrated our 20 year anniversary!

A small celebration was held at the Nedlands Yacht Club, where family, friends, clients, suppliers, and employees past and present, enjoyed an evening together.

Last week saw us wrap up planting in the wheatbelt and mid-west of WA. 480,000 plants in the ground for carbon sequestration. Great work by the crew over the past 6 weeks.

New Contract Award

GHEMS is pleased to announced we have been awarded the Revegetation and Landscaping works associated with the first phase of the Albany Ring Road Project.
Happy to be once again working with Decmil Southern Pty Ltd to implement these works, starting Winter 2022.

GHEMS crew and fleet of trucks leaving the warehouse during the busy pre-Christmas hydromulch rush! GHEMS completed over 1 million m2 of hydromulch in the month prior to the end of 2021, fighting the shifting sands of Perth.

GHEMS are proud to be WA State Finalists in the Telstra Best of Business Awards in the field of Promoting Sustainability. Well done to the other finalists who made it this far from 24,000 nominations.

Successful erosion control down at Poison Gully in Maida Vale along the newly constructed pedestrian shared path for client Georgiou.
Hydromulch products used on the problematic slope were ProMatrix, mixed in with an annual rye grass for longer term erosion control.
The slope is holding up well following over 200mm of rain in the 3 weeks post application.
Thanks to Sam and Junior Hydromulch Assistant Glen for sorting this one out.

The Ghems crew have been making good progress with the revegetation works on the new Roe Hwy/Kalamunda Interchange project for our client Georgiou.
Approx. 80,000 seedlings and around 35 kilos of seed going into the ground here.
