This wall used to have a small window. Now it has full-height black aluminium doors opening straight onto the garden.

We cut out the limestone, set the opening square, and installed the doors tight — threshold sitting flush with the hardwood floor. The room completely opened up. This is the kind of scope that changes how a house feels to live in, not just how it looks.

Before: an empty corner. After: the best seat in the room — and a table to match.

L-shaped banquette built from solid timber, custom sized wall-to-wall. MDF seat and back panels, matching timber capping and square-cut legs throughout. We also built the trestle table from scratch in the same timber. Cushions were done by an upholsterer, but the frame, the joinery, and the fit are all ours.

One live edge shelf and it completely changed the feel of this room. We built a wine fridge unit in the unused space alongside the fireplace, This beautiful custom Blackbutt piece was then cut and finished to fit the exact space — natural edge left raw, timber sealed to bring out the grain. Custom hardwood gate — self-closing, built to keep the puppy in and the entry looking sharp.

When off the shelf items wont do the job we make them ourselves. this opening was well beyond a standard gate dimension so we took matters into our own hands

Vertical hardwood slats, custom fabricated on site to fit the gap between the existing Colorbond fence and brick wall. We cut and assembled the whole thing on the driveway, then hung it with black hardware and a self-closer. Swings clean, shuts itself, and looks exactly right for the property.

Custom fitting a IKEA benchtops to a angled kitchen unit took some out of ordinary thinking to get the joint tight but with some little tricks we got it looking great.
