For the past few weeks, the Rig 3 crew has been delivering an exciting new project in Jandakot.

To support the development’s significant water demand, two 250mm production bores have been successfully installed. Each bore required 16” steel surface casing to 12m, accommodating 18m of stainless steel screens and 250mm production casing extending to 49m.

Both bores underwent 12 hours of air development to remove drilling fluids and fine sediments, ensuring optimal performance.

The first bore has completed a continuous 72-hour test pump at 20 L/sec, with the second bore now underway at 30 L/sec.

A massive effort from the entire crew—great work all around.

It’s been a massive start to the year, with both rigs running flat out to keep up with demand across multiple projects.

Rig 2 has been busy drilling several 200 mm production bores throughout the northern suburbs, including the new bore at the Alkimos Aquatic Centre and the Alkimos Central precinct. The new 18,000 L mud tank has already proven its value, performing exceptionally well during lost-circulation drilling.

Rig 3 has been operating in Bullsbrook, supporting DFES within the fire zone. The team successfully installed two production bores in a rapid turnaround to assist with the peat fires burning underground.

Outstanding effort from the crews—keep up the great work. 👏💪

Another successful 200mm production bore has been drilled and test pumped in extremely difficult cavernous limestone conditions.

This bore serves as a replacement for the existing one, which developed a hole in the screen section after over 20 years of service.

A 24-meter length of 12" steel surface casing was installed to the top of the limestone. The pilot hole was reamed to 72 meters, and the production casing was run to the bottom.

Test pumping was conducted, and the bore demonstrated an excellent flow rate of 25L/sec.

A big thanks to the entire crew, led by the lost circulation expert, Trevor Daley

The rig 2 crew have had a big week drilling the first of 5 production bores in the new Alkimos Central precinct.

Big groundwater flows and cavernous limestone are always a challenge to drill. Our team have the experience and know how to get the job done.

Well done boys 💪

With only a few weeks left till the Xmas break, both rigs are out drilling completing the last of this year's jobs.

Rig 2 is finishing up its last bore for the year for the City of Wanneroo in Hocking, while the crew on rig 3 are halfway through a 4 bore project on the new train line.

Next year is looking just as busy so if you require a bore get in touch and book a spot.

Last week the team completed a new production bore in Butler as part of our bore replacement contract with the City of Wanneroo.

The bore was drilled to 40m and test pumped at 25L/sec. This will be used to fill the lake which is used to irrigate the entire suburb of butler.

The crew on rig 2 have been busy these last couple of weeks drilling a leederville aquifer bore at Movida Estate , midvale.

The pilot hole was drilled to the target depth of 130m. Following geophysical logging it was determined that the deeper part of the aquifer had a high salinity level (3000ppm) and the fresher layer was higher up.

Pilot hole was backfilled and sealed off . Hole was then reamed to 55m and constructed with 200mm pvc and 24m of stainless steel screens.

After allowing the grout seal to set ,bore was air lifted clean. The bore was then test pumped for 8hrs with an excellent flow of 10L/sec and low salt content (600ppm)

It's been a busy last couple of weeks for the team.
Rig 2 has been at Image Resources new Atlas project near Jurien Bay. The crew completed a 155mm 60m production bore drilling into the eneabba formation to supply water for the new camp under construction and also a number of 50mm monitoring bores.

Rig 3 has just completed a number of 155 & 200mm bores for the City of Canning and also City of Mandurah. Test pumping to follow next week.
