πΏπ₯ Homemade JalapeΓ±o Powder Salt

Ingredients
- 10 fresh jalapeΓ±os
- 1 cup coarse sea salt or kosher salt
Instructions
1. Wash and dry the jalapeΓ±os thoroughly.
2. Slice them into thin, even rounds. (Wear gloves if you're sensitive to chili peppers.)
3. Arrange the slices on dehydrator trays or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Dehydrate at 125Β°F (52Β°C) for 8β12 hours, or bake in the oven at the lowest temperature (170β200Β°F / 75β95Β°C) for 3β5 hours until completely dry and brittle.
5. Grind the dried jalapeΓ±os into a fine powder using a spice grinder or coffee grinder.
6. Add the sea salt and pulse until the jalapeΓ±o powder and salt are evenly combined.
7. Transfer the seasoning to a clean, dry, airtight spice jar.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months. For the best flavor, keep it away from moisture.
