Bull ants 🐜 a pretty large, aggressive ant with long mandibles, big eyes and a venom loaded stinger. Can sting multiple times 😮‍💨 Can track and chase intruders from up to a meter away. Just don’t disturb them is my advice. Native to Australia. Their burrow is impressive, and they keep the soil loose and well-aerated. That’s a benefit.

Looking back on the Perth Garden Show adventure: a highly diverse setup, well attended, and filled with inspiring talks from experts across Australia. The LDI stand attracted plenty of interest, and the garden consults were especially popular.

The pocket gardens were judged to be of a very high standard. Sam Wells took home gold with an impressive design, featuring a fully integrated birdwatching hide within just 2.4 m². Congratulations Sam!

Hopefully, we’ll be back again next year with new and inspiring garden designs.
