Working alongside West Coast Plunge Pools and using Ekodeck® products, we’ve had the opportunity to deck and clad these above ground plunge pools for some very special kids. ❤️

we’re donating our time and workmanship to help create a space these kids and their families can enjoy.

This is what we do every day, but sometimes it means a lot more than just another job.

Life and business can be tough at times, but there’s always someone out there going through something tougher than you. Being able to use our trade, our team and our skills to give something back puts things into perspective.

We feel genuinely privileged to be asked to be involved in projects like this and to play a small part in making life a little better for these families.

Jandakot Project — Ceiling Linings 🔥

We’ve recently made a start on the ceiling linings at our Jandakot pool house, using Versilux sheets with a clean 10mm negative detail around the perimeter and through every sheet join.

A big part of getting this finish right is the set out. We made sure every sheet lined up perfectly with the posts and stayed balanced and consistent throughout the entire space.

Rather than going with a traditional grid pattern, we’ve opted for a staggered sheet layout. Personally, I think it gives the ceiling a cleaner, more architectural finish and adds another level of detail to the space.

And a little pro tip for anyone creating a 10mm negative detail…

Use 10mm thick magnets as your spacers. you’ll thank me later. 👌

It’s these small details in the set out and installation that make the finished product feel properly thought out.

JANDAKOT POOL HOUSE 🔥🔥

Midway through this project and it’s really starting to take shape!

You can now fully appreciate how this space is going to work a dedicated entertaining zone, combined with a change room and toilet area, all brought together under a large, architectural roof structure that gives the pool house a bold, modern presence.

This is exactly what a pool house should be, an extension of the home that makes your backyard feel like your own private resort.

Think summer afternoons by the pool, entertaining family and friends, and pool parties that continue well into the night. A space designed to be enjoyed, not just through summer, but all year round.

We can’t wait to get back and put the finishing touches on this one.

Electrical Set-Out ⚡️

The smallest details make the biggest impact.
Here we’re working through the electrical set out with our electrician, Mason, ensuring every detail is planned before the walls are closed in.

From installing blocking for TV brackets to confirming locations for power points, switches, lighting, and other provisions, everything is checked before moving forward.

Small details make a big difference.

For us, using a solid edge decking board to cap our castellation feature cladding is standard practice.

Rather than finishing with a traditional L shaped angle, we set the solid edge board approximately 10mm proud of the cladding, creating a clean shadow line and a premium architectural finish.

The capping board is installed first, allowing the cladding to finish neatly underneath and giving the entire feature a sharp, considered edge.

It’s a small detail but these 1% details are what separate a good job from a great one.

Quality isn’t just about what you see from a distance. It’s the thought, planning and craftsmanship that goes into every finishing detail.
