Another beautiful retaining wall down! 🔥

Take a look at our most recently completed project in Razorback.

Our client was over constantly trying to maintain his steep, run-down front yard, which was washing out during bad weather and leaving mud across the driveway and car park area.

We were referred by a previous client who had work completed by us, and after seeing how happy his friend was with the result, he wanted the same outcome for his property.

He trusted us to come in, transform the area and do it our way — and the finished result speaks for itself. 👌

Here are some progress photos from one of our latest projects.

This dam had several issues that needed to be addressed. It had inconsistent levels throughout, was leaking water, had no overflow system, and the existing base material was unsuitable.

Our client wanted to maintain the water level approximately 300mm below the top of the dam wall. However, due to the large catchment area feeding into the dam, we installed a 600mm StormPro overflow pipe to safely handle heavy rainfall events. Normally, this would require the overflow level to sit much lower to allow adequate cover over the pipe, resulting in a lower water level than the client wanted.

To achieve both objectives, we designed and constructed a weir-style overflow that allows the dam to maintain the desired water level while still directing excess water safely into the 600mm overflow pipe during heavy rain.

To finish the job, we completed the inlet and outlet with rock protection to minimise erosion and ensure a durable, long-lasting result.

A project 10+ years in the making.

Over 10 years ago, we built the sandstone boulder retaining wall you’ll see in the first five photos for a future home build in Oakdale. We were lucky enough to come across these old photos recently, and it was great to look back at where it all started.

Fast forward to today, and our loyal clients gave us a call again. After more than a decade, they knew exactly who they wanted for the next stage of their project because they remembered the quality of the work we delivered the first time.

This time, they wanted to add another tier of traditional round sandstone boulders above the original wall. No perfectly shaped A/B grade rocks here—just proper old-school round boulders that take experience, skill, and patience to build right.

We were proud to deliver another retaining wall that matched the standard of the original. Once again, our clients were left happy, satisfied, and grateful with the finished result.
