A little behind the scenes of buttoned interiors. Still done the same way as is was in the beginning. No automatic machines to make life easier, all manually done, All labour intensive.

48 lines marked and ruled
48 lines sewn
53m of sewing
2.6m of vinyl = a 2m panel after all the seem allowances
Another 48 lines marked and ruled on the panel itself
181 holes punched
181 vinyl circles punched for buttons
362 pieces pressed together to make 181 buttons
181 buttons pressed and fitted into the cover
All this = alot of hours just to complete 1 panel
But hey when its done it comes together nicely
