As of 1 May 2026, plumbing rules have changed.

✔️ Tapware must now be lead free
✔️ Applies to anything connected to your drinking water

If you’re having plumbing work done, make sure you ask if the tapware is watermarked lead free. If you are supplying your own tapware, please check the watermark so your plumber can install compliantly.

We're proud to be working on the new GenesisCare and St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee cancer care centre. When the project is complete the West will be home to a new radiation centre that will compliment the hospital's current surgery and medical oncology. Toolbox Talk Thursday, today we focused on drain clearing training.

Blocked drains might look simple from the outside, but clearing them properly involves the right equipment, the right diagnosis and working safely.

This morning we ran internal training covering:

✔️ Using jetters, sewer machines and drain cleaning equipment
✔️ When to use each tool for different blockages
✔️ CCTV drain inspections and line tracing
✔️ Safety, PPE and pre-start checks

The team also spent some time outside doing practical scenarios so our newer plumbers could get hands-on experience and ask questions from our more experienced team members.

Another one of our plumbers has completed the commission and maintain backflow prevention devices course from Master Plumbers to assist our commercial client base with compliancy. Lockie was impressed with the state of the art energy efficient facilities at the Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre in Narre Warren.
