Water and the sun.
Although integral to life on earth can also have some devastating effects on electrical equipment.
Here we have a motor starter which has had water in the enclosure, leading to condensation and ending in equipment failure.
Attached to the same system is a flow switch which the cables outer insulation has completely deteriorated due to UV exposure. Lucky it was only 24V!
