Hello, be careful of scammers ‘fake tradies’ who are working across Victoria to defraud hardworking Aussies. They take many forms: Roofing and painting: reblockers, carpenters and fake tradies are advertising widely using Facebook ads. There are also known scams in regard to home improvements, fencing, tree removal and firewood sales. Do your due diligence very carefully, particularly with Facebook business’ that have new pages, and very few reviews exist. Theses scammers keep changing their business name / Facebook name to avoid detection. They set up like a real business with use of ABN and invoice system and appear very charming so can be difficult to detect. They make false claims to have qualifications they don’t hold. They turn up, take a commencement fee, damage your property or do really shoddy work, and then extort you for more money than quoted or simply don’t come back at all to complete or repair the works. They will not respond to phone or email. They are also known for not paying their workers. Avoid alleged scammers Erich Kipp McLure, Chelsea Louise Cater, Mark Salmon and many other crooks.
