G'day all I'm Ryan from Ryan's General Maintenance. I am a semi disabled and I've started a small business to work hand in hand with being a part-time stay at home dad. As an individual who has been victim of a serious car smash in 2011, sustaining multiple life threatening injuries, returning to the workforce has remained out of my grasp. Endless applications and a few interviews without success
have convinced me I will only ever work again by creating my own small business. With the years of rehabilitation I know first-hand how mental health is impacted by ones physical health and it is without doubt, coming to terms with my changed capacity for physical work that makes me committed in my endeavors to make this small business a success. My experiences of recent years had made me very aware of the limitations of many people in the community, some due to advancing years or those who suffer a variety of conditions impacting their abilities to live fulfilled and independently. It is due to this fact that I aim to focus my business in providing affordable and flexible services in household and yard maintenance for individuals who require an understanding helping hand, whether it be providing total or assisted services. I have a small range of promotional materials (business cards and flyers) and will rely upon the positive feedback of clients as I develop the business. Loyal customers will be offered a discount and those with special circumstances will be able to negotiate suitable rates. To further my scope of work in this small business venture I applied for a Working with Children certificate which has now been issued in NSW.
