Feeling so fortunate to be working on these very special Iznik tiled chairs.

The owner of the chairs originally obtained them from a house purchased in South Beach, Miami Florida then had them shipped to her home in Hong Kong and now has brought them to Australia in which I am currently recovering and restoring the cushions.

The style of the Ink tiles dates back to the Ottoman Empire in the early 14th century. Iznik vessels were made in imitation of Chinese porcelain, which was highly prized by the Ottoman sultans.

I have chosen some incredible fabric to match the minor duck egg blue in the tiles to really make the colour and chair pop.
