I snapped this picture the other day just as we had connected the van to the car to move out to the next spot.

Car idling, and patchy cloud overhead, had us charging at around 2/3 of the maximum that we CAN put in between solar and DCDC.

This system is designed to charge at a maximum of 125A between the car and the panels, but honestly, by the time we pack up camp and get ready to head out, the solar generally has the batteries almost topped off and the dcdc isn't needed.

Swipe across to see how much work the DCDC Charger has actually done over the last 3 months. In that whole time, its charged cumulatively, three quarters of the capacity of our battery bank. Thats nothing in the scheme of things.

Design it right, build it well, and you really can plan the performance of the system to your needs. We hit 100% charge every day without fail, rain hail, or shine.

We really tested the hail part the other day, and guess what, still charging ☀️
