We are excited to watch this one progress as it does face some of our biggest challenges to date.
The Ausgrid network needs to be rebuilt to allow such a project to roll through town.

Yesterday we completed our first outage for the Newcastle Intercity Bypass project. We installed 300m of underground high voltage cable, allowing us to remove the pre-existing overhead cable.
This work will allow for the new bypass to be built, while also providing power to the assets at the future John Hunter Hospital interchange.
