Here's a doosey. This job in East Gresford was a complicated one. Many plumbers had been there before and no one had figured it out. Water was getting into the sewer and filling up the septic tanks. After a few hours of cctv cameraing drains we found a mass of roots blocking a line. These roots had broken the pipe and were a potential for water egress. We cut out the roots and organised the pipe to be relined, fixing the breaks and preventing future root intrusion.
We also found a sewer gulley to be below concrete level , according to AS3500 they need to be 75mm above ground to prevent water entering sewer so we rose it up to avoid this. So far so good.
