Cyclone Alfred Update – Important Service Notice

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued warnings for severe weather, including heavy rain, strong winds, and possible flooding, as Cyclone Alfred moves down the Queensland coast.

Impact on Services:
Due to the cyclone’s progression, our services may experience delays or temporary interruptions.

Safety Advisory:
To prevent potential lift emergencies, Queensland Elevators strongly recommends temporarily shutting down lifts on the top floor of buildings to avoid water damage from weather events such as flash flooding.

BOM Safety Recommendations:
• Secure loose outdoor objects and equipment.
• Avoid non-essential travel during the storm’s peak impact.
• Stay indoors and monitor local weather updates.
• Ensure your emergency contact details with us are up to date.
