Our new Guzman Y Gomez project is well underway at Yarrabilba.

The build is progressing nicely, with the exteior nearing completiong and the interior now starting to come together.

Here’s a look at where things are at so far - with plenty more to come!

Our Tesla Red Hill fitout is a good example of where the plan on paper meets the reality on site.

Level one's taking shape now, new paint, a 1,700m² epoxy floor, fresh line markings and wheel stops. But the part our team's most proud of is what's happening underneath it: engineering a dual lane drive-thru into that existing car park, coordinating structural steel, civil works, concrete and soil testing.

Next up on site: the concrete pour but not before a week of footing excavation, engineering sign-off, and revised shop drawings on the pier steel to get there.

This one’s personal.

Brendan started Kyson to build something with his name on it, for his family, for his kids, for the long run. Not the biggest company in the room. Not the loudest. Just one that does right by the people we work with, every time.

We’re in construction, but our pillars aren’t really about construction at all. Honesty. Integrity. Partnership. Loyalty. That’s what we wanted the business to stand on before we ever picked up a tool.

Because here’s the thing, a great venue isn’t the whole job. The experience our clients have getting there matters just as much. If we get that right, the trust follows. We don’t have to ask for it.

This is Episode 1 of a new series where we’re sharing more of what’s behind Kyson, why we do it this way, and what we’re building toward.

We’ve been awarded the fitout for the next Guzman y Gomez store, this time in Yarrabilba.

GYG is one of our longest-standing partners, and every new store is a chance to bring the same standard to a new community. That consistency, store after store, is something we’re genuinely proud of and we can’t wait to get started on this one.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Kyson Commercial was recognised at last Friday’s Master Builders Awards, taking home the Brisbane Retail Facilities (Up to $5 Million) award for our Aunty on Wandoo | Modern Asian Dining in Brisbane project. 🎉

This achievement reflects the dedication and teamwork of everyone involved throughout the project.

A huge thank you to our incredible team, subcontractors, suppliers and everyone who contributed to making this project a success. We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to Tassis Group for entrusting us to bring your vision to life.
