By disabling the internal lock snib for this customer (to avoid accidentally using it!), they were able to leave the existing lock in place to latch the door only, then we added their neat Aqara U400 smart deadbolt and they were all set! Looks good!!

Check out this Lion Head Nicholson Digital Entrance Lock. Chosen by our customer as they've been using one on another door for a while now and love it! So much so, that they have added two more to their property, to improve their security (they don't always remember to lock things after themselves) and for ease of use (when they do remember to lock up, they forget to take their keys next time). Problems solved!

A side excursion to LSC's Museum was definitely a highlight of the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia 45th Annual Trade Expo & Conference last weekend!

The largest and the smallest locks I've ever seen; a very old and dusty key series rack, that I could have used at a job last week; a combination lock made from an old telephone dial; a doctor's Otoscope, turned lock scope; and a light fitting I'd love in my house! And these are just some examples of the awesome lock nerd things I got to see!!

With the thumb turn making life awkward for staff and the internal lever continually falling off making life scary for staff, it was time for an upgrade. This new Borg lock is nice and solid, won't fall apart on them and the external lever will make racing in and out of the back room a much smoother process. Improvement all round!

With this big beautiful door needing a bit more than an old roller latch to hold it closed, these customers requested an entrance set be added. So we found one that matched the existing deadbolt, keyed them alike and now the door no longer bursts open unexpectedly 🚪✅
