This is Something we have been up to this year.
Learning from like minded people in the small scale farming sector of Tasmania.
Sprout Tasmania has been incredible to facilitate such a program.

Introducing the first of our 2026 Sprout Producer Program participants, Adam and Fiona from Tassie Grown, St Marys.🌱 Budding market gardeners, and perhaps poets, they wrote the most beautiful introduction to their farm, giving you the perfect insight into the beautiful humans they are and the adoration they have for the plot they now call home.💚 Here it is:

"On the eastern edge of Tasmania, where the hills of St Marys catch the first light, Adam and Fiona (Tassie Grown) are coaxing a small market garden into life, one rooted deeply in season, soil, and the quiet character of the place. Drawn to the region to farm at a human scale, Adam brings experience in horticulture and landscaping. They began with trays of herb and vegetable seedlings, learning the land’s rhythms and connecting with their community. From these seedlings, they are weaving themselves into the local food story, offering young plants to home gardeners who, like them, believe nourishment begins in the soil. Their work is deliberate and organic: composting, planting by season, and building fertility slowly, every seed teaching a lesson in patience and hope."
