You’ve heard it, but are you acting?
With daylights savings soon coming to an end, the clocks on our phones will change automatically, but the batteries in our smoke alarms won’t.
Use this time of year as a reminder to ensure that your often forgotten life saving device, can still save your life.
Make sure to test your smoke alarm at least once every month and change your battery once every 12 months. Most smoke alarms will emit a small chirp once every 30 seconds or so to indicate a low battery. (Even if they are mains powered!)
It’s recommended that a smoke alarm is positioned within 1.5m from every bedroom door and replaced every 10 years.
If you’re in need of modern smoke alarms, or more to be installed, Aaron, Sam or Lewis will happily swing by. 🔥🔋
