So we are a year and a half into the new Queensland smoke alarm laws. I have had so many conversations about them with customers, the vast majority are in favour but don't w add my to take action at the moment. As part of the conversation I always mention that ANY SMOKE ALARM only ever lasts 10 years. Please take the time to look at your current one. If it's looking slightly yellow it's probably out of date. Check for the manufacturing date, or install date.
Your insurance will not pay out if your alarm doesn't work!
