Padgett’s are currently seeking applications from suitable Radiata pine log cartage subcontractors for a minimum 2 year block of work commencing as early as September 2025.

Cartage will primarily be from the North EAST of Tasmania to the Goerge Town Bell Bay area.

General requirement as below:
•Well maintained truck/ trailer combinations with documented prestart and maintenance programs (HC and MC spots available).
•Ability to effectively communicate on both safety and operational issues.
•Mass Management accreditation.
•Guardian fatigue monitoring.
•Capable drivers with machinery licences and current first aid.

Ken Padgett’s logging operations are centred around the picturesque village of Myrtleford in northeastern Victoria. The landscape is characterized by broad valleys and steep slopes – textbook yarding and cable assist country.

Ken is a second-generation industry veteran. Ken grew up in the industry and started out on his own 44 years ago in his mid-twenties. His father Andy, who passed in 2013, was an outsize figure in the Tasmanian timber industry. He was a strong advocate of Tasmania’s hardwood industry and a champion for sustainable forest management.
