Raise Mowing Height for Winter❗❄️
As we experience Winter weather, the soil temperature is dropping 🥶 and causes turf to grow at a slower rate as it conserves energy - this is called dormancy.
⬆️ It's important to increase your mowing height so the leaf of your lawn is slightly longer than usual.
☀️ The leaf of your lawn are the 'solar panels' which convert light into food (photosynthesis) as there is less sunlight in Winter, the larger surface area a longer leaf provides assists your lawn in staying healthy 🌱💚.

Pre-emergent herbicides prevent w**ds from germinating for up to 10 weeks to keep those pesky winter w**ds out of your lawn 🌿
Granular or liquid ones can be applied and generally watered in to create a protective barrier.

HINT: Even when you think it's not water...it's probably water 💧.

If your lawn has gone a blue/grey colour, has a curled leaf or has developed dry patch this with the recent warm weather, it is likely not absorbing enough water. A higher evaporation rate + hydrophobic soil = a struggling lawn 🥵☀️.
