One we are incredibly proud of 🇹🇱 🤝 🇦🇺

It’s hard to put into words just how rewarding it is to see this project completed and the impact it will have.
For over 18 months, the RMS team delivered the continuous rehabilitation of the Medical Clinic at Metinaro Military Base in Timor-Leste, with the refurbished facility officially handed over to the F-FDTL by DCP-TL on 31 July.

The project has transformed the clinic, delivering more than 50 patient bed spaces, nine additional specialist consultation and treatment offices, upgraded isolation and medical storage areas, additional amenities, and improved disability access throughout.

But for us, this video captures something much bigger than the finished facility. Seeing the completed clinic, the people it will support, and our own Diana Fernanda Branco and Julio Dias speaking about the project makes this an incredibly proud moment for RMS.

Projects like this remind us why the work we do matters - delivering infrastructure that makes a genuine difference to people and communities.

A huge congratulations to the entire RMS team who contributed to this project, and thank you to the Australian Embassy, DCP-TL and F-FDTL for the opportunity to be part of something so meaningful.

This is one we’ll remember for a very long time ❤️

People are at the heart of everything we do at RMS, and a recent visit to our Timor-Leste operations provided a wonderful opportunity to recognise some of the incredible people who continue to drive our success.
As part of the visit, Managing Director Richard McDonald acknowledged several long-serving team members, including our Chief Representative, Erik Stokes, who recently celebrated the milestone of 10 years with RMS. Erik was recognised for his leadership, commitment and outstanding contribution to the business over the past decade.
The success of RMS in Timor-Leste has been built on the professionalism, loyalty and hard work of our people. We are incredibly proud of the team we have assembled and grateful for the contribution each individual continues to make.

RMS Engineering & Construction are proud to have been named a finalist in the Project Value $10M–$30M category at the 2026 CCF Queensland Earth Awards for the Mission Beach Town Centre Revitalisation Project. The recognition reflects the dedication of our project team, the Cassowary Coast Regional Council, subcontractors and project partners who helped bring this important community project to life. Congratulations to everyone involved, and we look forward to celebrating with the industry at the awards in August.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and people of Timor-Leste on the passing of former President Francisco Guterres, widely known as "Lu-Olo".

As a corporate voice within the construction sector in Timor-Leste, RMS recognises that his legacy is closely intertwined with the literal and institutional building of the Timor-Leste nation. From his time as a guerrilla commander to his years as a democratic statesman, former President Francisco's leadership played a significant role in shaping the foundations upon which the nation of Timor-Leste stands today.

Our thoughts with all those mourning his loss.
