Get around the Big Freeze Echuca / Moama Rich River Golf Club 🫶🏼
We’d like to take a moment to introduce ourselves & the story behind bringing the Big Freeze to Echuca/Moama.
Since 2015, we’ve proudly been part of the Daniher Drive as team *Lorna’s Girls*. The Daniher Drive was created to raise vital funds & awareness in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND) across Victoria and beyond, with funds going directly to Fight MND.
The inspiration behind our involvement is Naomi, who sadly lost her mum, Lorna Hicks, to MND more than 20 years ago. This was at a time when there was very little hope or understanding of the disease for those diagnosed.
Being part of the Daniher Drive has been an incredibly meaningful experience. The Daniher family are truly remarkable, welcoming people with open arms while tirelessly advocating for a cure for MND. They have continued this fight with strength and determination, even as they have witnessed Neale’s decline firsthand. We are truly devastated for you all.
The drive has also connected us with many others united by the same cause — people honouring loved ones they’ve lost, supporting those currently living with MND, and working together to create hope for the future.
We are looking forward to showing what real Community is all about when we bring the
Big Freeze to Echuca/Moama. All fundraising & proceeds from the day will go directly to Fight MND.
A huge thank you to our Sliders who have been tirelessly fundraising and spreading the word as they prepare to slide into the icy pool at the Big Freeze! 🛝❄️ Your energy, commitment, and support are helping make a real difference. We’re so proud to have you on the team! 💙
Thank you to our generous Sponsor’s, Raffle contributors, and Rich River Golf Club for hosting our event. ⭐️
A special mention to Dee & her team from Rich River Golf Club for working tirelessly behind the scenes to support us. 🙏
