We recently completed a successful Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) unit replacement for a critical transport infrastructure facility in Sydney’s south.
Working within a live operational environment, our team safely removed and replaced an existing computer room air conditioning (CRAC) unit while maintaining integration with existing building services and minimising disruption to operations.
The project involved:
• Removal and disposal of existing HVAC equipment and associated services
• Installation of a new high-performance Stulz CRAC unit
• New insulated copper pipework and maintenance isolation upgrades
• Custom transition duct fabrication and temporary commissioning connections
• Electrical, controls, and mechanical integration works
• Co-ordination of specialist lifting operations within a constrained site environment
Projects like this highlight the importance of detailed planning, technical coordination, and safe delivery when upgrading critical cooling infrastructure in operational facilities.
