Great opportunity for somebody wanting to start a career in civil or quarry operations

The Role
This role involves assisting with managing all fleet resources including drivers and equipment to optimise efficiency and meet customers’ expectations.
The role works in collaboration with customers, as well as the company’s quarries and production facilities. Promoting and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures will also be an integral part of the role. The successful applicant will be trained and supported by both the Quarry Manager and General Manager.

The Person

We are looking for a motivated individual that will grow and develop in the role, the right person will have proficient computer skills, the communication skills required to build strong, positive relationships and the ability to work as part of a team or independently.
The attributes we are looking for include a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine interest in the industry.
Some experience in civil, quarry or freight would be helpful, but not necessary.

NEW POSITION
Administration Assistant (Full Time)

The Role:
In this new role you will be supporting the head office administration, compliance and customer service team as well as directly assisting the General Manager. Processing and maintaining business records, generating and dispersing information, ensuring the supply of business consumables and general clerical duties are key requirements.
Handling customer and internal team members enquiries whist ensuring the business projects a positive and professional image are also daily tasks.
The role will also assist in a variety of other functions supporting the General Manager including following up emails, reports etc on her behalf, liaising with customers, suppliers and managers across the business. Helping in the design and roll out of various correspondence is a key function as well as jumping in wherever necessary to support the organisation.

The Person:
The right person will be able to manage conflicting priorities and a strong customer service commitment (Internally and externally) as well as a flair for producing quality documents.
Intermediate MS and computer skills are essential as well as a high level of accuracy in Word and Excel and well developed written and verbal communication. Some experience in accounts would be an advantage.
A flexible approach and a willingness to jump in and be” hands on” in helping other team members are key attributes that we are looking for in the role.

The Role

Planning is a key requirement as the role works in collaboration with customers, as well as the company’s quarries and production facilities. The role is responsible for managing the company’s Chain of Responsibility program as well as training and performance managing all fleet personnel.
Working with the company’s customers, across several locations the role requires the successful applicant must be able to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships. Reporting to both the Quarry Manager and General Manager the role is largely autonomous however works in a real time environment.

The Person
We are looking for an individual that will take ownership of the role. The right person will be able to demonstrate strong planning, analytical and organisational skills in a fast-moving environment. The capacity and desire to implement new systems and methods and take responsibility for outcomes and the interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels are paramount.
The right person will promote a culture of safety & standards whilst balancing the dynamics of the business where priorities and plans can shift frequently.
A civil contracting, quarry management or freight background is desirable.
