5 Oct 2025 - Daylight Saving Time Starts - clocks are turned forward 1 hour and it is the perfect annual reminder to check your smoke alarms.

During this time, you should test your alarm, gently vacuum and dust it, replace any batteries in non-sealed alarms, and replace the entire unit if it is over 10 years old.
