A camera that's slightly out of position.

Matt had the opportunity to take the floor at **BNI Coastlink** this morning for our Member Presentation, and this time he decided to do things a little differently.

Rather than just talking security, cameras and alarms, Matt shared a bit more about **his family, our team and the journey that has made Armitage Security what it is today.**

From starting out and building the business one customer at a time, through to acquiring EPW Security and Scott Security, we’re incredibly proud to now look after around **5,000 active customers** across residential, commercial, rural and specialised security.

But despite how much the business has grown, the philosophy hasn't really changed.

**Listen to the customer. Understand what they actually need. Do the job properly. And be there when they need you.**

A massive thank you to everyone at **BNI Coastlink** for giving Matt the opportunity to share our story and for the ongoing support, referrals and friendships that come from being part of such a great group.

One thing we've learnt over the years...

Most people don't think about their security system until after something has happened.

By then, the footage is important... but preventing the incident in the first place would have been even better.

A well-designed security system isn't just there to record what happened.

It's there to help discourage it from happening at all.

If improving your security has been sitting on the to-do list for a while, now's a good time to have a look at it.

"How many cameras do I need?"
The honest answer is... it depends.

We've seen homes and businesses with six or eight cameras that still leave important areas uncovered.

We've also seen smaller systems that do an excellent job because they've been planned properly.

Good security isn't about having the biggest system.
It's about making sure the important areas are covered when it matters most.
