LAW DESIGN REVISITED
Celebrating 10 years! Cant believe it has been 10 years since the completion of the Colour My World Children's Centre at West Ryde. From humble beginnings, it was the clients dream to build a first class center that offered a light filled fun space with a point of difference. The site proved a challenge in that it was a steep slope. To overcome site constraints, we excavated the rear of the site to provide a level play area, with the building being elevated to provide a street presence. The building was fitted out with all the mod cons to provide a first class service. The building design featured as a finalist in the BDA Awards 2010. After 10 years of operation, the centre looks as good today as when it opened. Congratulations to all involved

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
Congratulations to my son Jake for his achievements whilst studying project management at Newcastle Uni. Jake has just received an award for a cost planning assignment for the highest total mark in the subject. The dean advised this assignment is the most difficult assignment in the course. Jake has done very well to receive this merit and we are all very proud of him.

Jake has always been a part of LAW and has lived and breathed construction since he was born. Once he received his license he was always running errands to council and others. He later worked with one of our local builders Andrew Le Quense, who constructs LAW designed granny flats and have so far built over 50 on the peninsular.

Every LAW Building Design needs a beautiful garden to set the completed vision apart from the rest.
Landscaping is very important to embelish the project.
Louise was lucky enough to catch-up with Rob from Waddell Landcsape Design and Construction who took out the silver medal at this years Melbourne International Garden and Flower Show 2019. Here, he talks about the process to a achieve a great landscape design and how we can integrate our servcies together to give you the wow factor and enhance your investment.

Whilst cleaning out, we found this gem - circa 2006.
The house still looks great and we have only just had a recent inquiry about this project from our website. It still looks modern and timeless ( the house that is!)

After years of planning and patience waiting for their builder to be available, the big day is finally here.
The project is to knock down the existing carport and replace it with a new two car garage.
Sounds simple! BUT, the site was fraught with complexities such a a steep slope and limited driveway access. The garage needed to be positioned to enhance the existing house, rather than undermine it.
