☀️ A LONG TIME COMING – A HUGE STEP FOR OUR CLUB ☀️⚡

The Stratford & District Angling Club Inc. is extremely proud to finally see one of our biggest long-term projects come together at our Hollands Landing clubhouse.

A massive thank you to VRFish for the $10,000 in funding through the Stronger Fishing Clubs Grant Program, which has enabled us to complete the solar and battery stage of this project.

This funding has allowed us to bring together several major improvements made possible over a number of years.

☀️ Fisheries Victoria – solar and battery system
⚡ Community Bank Maffra & District – Energy inverter upgrade
🔌 Wellington Shire Council – generator backup power

Together, these projects have transformed the way our completely off-grid clubhouse is powered and given us a reliable system that will benefit our members, juniors, families and visitors for many years to come.

We would also like to give a special thank you to Richard from the Victorian Fisheries Authority for his assistance, patience and support throughout the process. Having someone willing to answer questions and help a volunteer community club work its way through a major project is greatly appreciated.

We also sincerely thank BOLTZ Contractors and XESS for their involvement and support in bringing the solar and battery project together.

And finally, a big thank you to Papey for the countless volunteer hours behind the scenes — identifying grant opportunities, preparing applications, chasing quotes, organising contractors, planning the different stages and continuing to push the project forward.

It has taken multiple grants, several funding partners, local businesses and a lot of volunteer work to get to this point.

There have been plenty of phone calls, emails, paperwork and a few headaches along the way, but seeing everything finally come together makes it worthwhile.

Three stages. Multiple funding partners. One major investment in the future of our club.

🛥️ Our Solar Boys headed out by boat last week to install a new set of XESS lithium batteries at a beautiful property in Ocean Grange.

What an incredible part of the world! 🌊☀️ Nestled between the Ninety Mile Beach and the Gippsland Lakes, it’s hard to beat views like these while on the job.

This property is 100% off-grid, and with its new XESS battery system installed, it’s now running perfectly. Best of all, we can remotely monitor the system to ensure everything continues to perform exactly as it should. 🔋✅

We might just have to schedule the next “maintenance visit” for the middle of summer… 😉🏖️🎣

Another great day out with the Boltz crew! Although the weather wasn’t ideal it is safe to say the boys are a lot better sparkies than they are golfers… but there were still plenty of laughs, a few decent shots, and maybe even the odd miracle putt! 😂⚡
