It’s easy to see why our Fellstyle natural sandstone pavers are so popular in hospitality venues, when you see it in situ like this recent installation at Emily Taylors Bar in Fremantle.
Not only does it look great, its texture and neutral tones really make it look like it belongs in the environment.
Couple that with its durability and R11 slip rating and you’re onto a winner.
Great venue deserves great stone!

There's a particular kind of calm that comes from a backyard that just works.

No upkeep hanging over you, nothing to think about except getting in the water.

That was the goal for this home in Canningvale. The pool was already the centrepiece. What the owners wanted was for the ground around it to match that feeling, and to hold onto it for years without becoming a chore.

We supplied Crossover White porcelain for the full pool surround. It's a pale, softly veined finish that keeps the whole area bright and open, and it holds that light even on an overcast Perth day, as you can see here.

Why porcelain earns its place around a pool comes down to the things most people don't think about. It carries an R11 slip rating, so the walk from the water to the shade stays sure underfoot when the surface is wet. Being dense and non-porous, it resists stains, sunscreen etc, and wipes clean with little effort. And with normal use it keeps its looks year after year, so the backyard the owners built is the one they'll still be enjoying well down the track.

That's the real value of getting the surface right. You stop maintaining your backyard and start living in it.

Steel edging sets the lines a garden follows.
Straight runs and square corners where you want order.
Curves winding through planted beds where you want movement.
Tiers and steps where the ground drops away.
Metal garden edging takes whichever line you give it, and keeps it there for years.
We supplied Wayfinder Winery in Margaret River with corten edging, and it handles both sides of that job well, carrying long unbroken curves in one run and turning sharp angles where the layout calls for it.
It holds dark mulch on one side and loose gravel on the other, with grass trees and sandstone boulders set through the planting.
The rusted surface is what settles it into the setting.
Warm russet and amber sitting close to the ochre of the rammed earth and the tones running through the stone.
Separation without interruption.
Shape the landscape, then keep it that way.

Cobbled streets laid centuries ago are still carrying traffic today. There's a reason the format has never gone away.
Small, dense stones lock together under load, spreading weight across the whole surface instead of concentrating it in one slab. That's what makes cobblestones such a strong choice where cars turn, brake and park every day. And unlike a poured slab, individual cobbles can be lifted and relaid if you ever need access underneath.
This driveway is finished in our Black Limestone Cobbles, the deepest black in our range. Laid in neat coursed rows, the tumbled edges add texture and grip underfoot, and the colour gives the whole frontage real presence against the greenery around it.

If a new driveway is on the cards, come and see black limestone in person at our showroom: Stand 273, Homebase, 55 Salvado Rd, Subiaco. Or browse the full cobblestone range at our website.

Grey pavers don't have to be boring.
This Karrinyup installation runs African Slate porcelain from the covered alfresco right out to the lawn edge.
The grey base carries rust and copper veining that shifts across every tile, so the finished floor has genuine slate character.

And because it's porcelain, there's no sealing.
Not at installation, not ever.

Barbecue spills, red wine, sunscreen: all of it wipes clean rather than soaking in.

Add an R11 slip rating for wet outdoor areas and you have a paver built for the way alfresco areas actually get used.

A new cobblestone driveway has just gone down in Cottesloe, and it is a great example of why cobbles have stayed popular for centuries.
These are our Vintage Raven Cobblestones. They are natural stone setts with a tumbled edge and a gently riven surface, which gives them that settled, established character from the day they are laid. Look closely and you will see the tonal variation across the cobbles, from soft grey through to deep charcoal, with the darker border cobbles framing the edge of the driveway neatly.
Cobblestones handle the weight of daily vehicle traffic well, and their textured surface offers good grip underfoot in wet weather. They suit heavy traffic areas, paths, edging and garden features alike.
Vintage Raven setts are part of our Vintage Stone range, so matching pavers, walling and a stone compass feature are all available if you want to carry the look through the rest of your outdoor areas.
We have cobbles on display at our stand #273 at Home Base, Subiaco
