Calco Electrical is looking for an Experienced Licensed Electrician for electrical, air-conditioning & security work in the residential, commercial etc. You will be joining an existing team of electricians in a well-established - respected family business located in Sunbury

You will need to have a sound knowledge of the SAA Wiring Rules & SIR’s, along with the necessary trouble shooting / fault finding & installation skills to successfully do the job; you need to be presentable, confident, motivated, be able to work quickly & safely & organize yourself to work autonomously or as part of a team; you should have worked in a previous/similar role for a minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience & have good communication skills, that will enable you to nurture our existing customer base & develop new client relationships.
Tasks include;
Attend job appointments with current & new customer/clients in a professional manner.
Report & keep diary log of work done, hours spent, complete job cards & time sheets for administration to process.
Keep all paperwork up to date, along with suppliers purchases in line with company protocols

You will need to have had experience in;
All types of Domestic &Commercial wiring & repair.
CCTV Security System Supply & Install.
Air-conditioning/split system install & repairs.
Evaporative Cooling Repairs.
Digital Antenna install & repairs.
Switchboard Upgrades along with safety switch & Surge Protection installation
Test & Tagging.
Electric motor & pump repairs.
Hot water repairs.
Internet & Telephone cabling systems, repairs & installs
LED lighting, ceiling fan installs.
Stove & Oven top repairs.
Audio & Home theatre wiring & hook up.
And much more !
Applicant Requirements;
- You must have current Victorian A Grade License or pursuing one
- A current Open Telecommunications Cabling Registration
- You must have current Full Victorian Driver’s License.
- You must be an Australian Resident & reside within easy travelling distance of our office in Sunbury
- You must be able to pass a “Police & Working with Children Check” prior to commencement
- A Security Installers License is preferred, but not essential & some ‘on job’ training will be available.
- A Plumbing License for Air-conditioning is preferred but not essential & some ‘on job’ training will be available
- You must have a comprenshive tool kit, including battery drills, insulation tester & multi meter
- There will be a trail period for a minimum of 3 months, during which time you will be employed on a casual basis & on successful completion the trial period you will be employed on a Contract basis for a minimum of up to 3 years
- Hours; a minimum of 38 hours plus overtime as required. You will be required to attend after hours & weekend breakdowns as required. No RDO’s apply
- You must have your own transportation to allow you to travel to the office or worksites as required within Sunbury/Macedon Ranges region & Greater Melbourne as needed.
