The biggest hesitation with replacing windows on a period home is usually the same one, will it still look like the house it’s always been. This Northcote weatherboard is proof it holds up. uPVC throughout, finished in white to match the original frames, with the timber trim above some of the windows left in place and the new ones fitted underneath.
Different windows across the house do different things, opening ones, a fixed pane, a wider three-panel unit, plus the entry door, but the same white finish ties it all together into one house.
