Located along the coastal walkway between Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland at Alex Bluff Foreshore Park, the Australian War Dog Memorial honours the military working dogs, especially Australian Army tracker dogs, that saved countless lives in the Vietnam War, Papua New Guinea, Somalia, and other conflicts.

Refurbished by the Murphy Builders commercial team in mid-2022, the memorial features a 1.4-metre sandstone block with a carved Labrador profile, an inscription plaque, and an integrated dog drinking trough. Built with universal accessibility at its core, the project links the community to the coast while supporting the natural foreshore environment.
