Just because your investment was built new does NOT mean you got a quality plumbing job.

This one is a rental on the Sunshine Coast. The owner lived in it for years before renting it out, and a wet patch on the ceiling first showed up back when they were still living there. The builder sent the original plumber back to fix it.

What did that bloke actually do? Smeared PVC glue over the fractured elbow to hide the crack, then painted the ceiling. No proper repair. No bill. Out the door.

Fast forward 10 years and that dodgy 'fix' has finally let go, this time flooding a tenant's ceiling.

Why "flushable" wipes are a plumber's best friend and a homeowner's nightmare 🚽
Got called out to a sewer blockage in Twinwaters this week. The culprit? A solid build-up of "flushable" wipes.
Here's the truth: despite what the packet says, these wipes don't break down. They snag on pipe joins, catch everything else coming through, and build into a dam that stops the whole line.
Cleared the main using the RIDGID K-60 sectional machine, pulled the debris out through the inspection opening, and had the drain running freely again.
The lesson for every household on the Sunshine Coast: wipes clog pipes. Bin them, don't flush them.

Another happy customer in Little Mountain! 💧
Got the call that a 20+ year old hot water system was leaking badly and well overdue for replacement. Had the new Thermann electric storage unit installed the very next day — new tempering valve, pressure limiting valve, expansion valve, relief line, tundish, upgraded isolation valves and lagged hot water lines. All compliant, all tidy, all sorted.
