Meet Rob... one of the friendly locals behind Jim's Pool Care Bli Bli. 😊

After spending 15 years managing public health projects, Rob decided it was time for a career that got him out from behind a desk and into the Sunshine Coast lifestyle.

Now, there's nothing he enjoys more than leaving a customer's pool looking crystal clear and hearing how happy they are with the result.

Of course, not every day goes to plan...

🐍 A brown snake in a skimmer basket.

Safe to say... no two days are ever the same!

Rob's biggest pool tip is one that's easy to overlook...

💦 Keep your water level up. Your pool equipment can't do its job if the water drops too low.

When he's not working (or as he'd say... "enjoying not working!" 😄), you'll usually find him enjoying fresh seafood, relaxing with a Scotch or planning his next trip to New Zealand to spend time with family.

One of the things Rob appreciates most about Bli Bli isn't the scenery... it's the people.

"Everyone just seems genuinely happy to live here."

One of our franchisees recently gave this unique pool some TLC, getting the water back to crystal clear and sparkling! ✨

We love the beach-style design and gently sloping entry — not only does it create a relaxed, resort-like feel, but it can also offer our furry friends an easier way to find their way out if they accidentally take a dip. 🐶🐾

If you live around Marcoola, Buderim or surrounding areas, chances are you've met Jim out by the pool... and Trudi behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. Together, they're proud to be the local team behind Jim's Pool Care Marcoola & Buderim. 😊
Three years ago, Jim swapped life as a shotfirer in the WA mining industry for pool care, and together he and Trudi have built their business around honest advice, quality workmanship and genuine customer relationships.

For Jim, nothing beats the satisfaction of transforming a tired, green pool into one that's crystal clear and ready for the family to enjoy. ✨💦

His most memorable pool discovery?

A possum... with a belly full of mangoes! 🥭😅 At least he went out with a full stomach.

His biggest pool care tip is simple...

💦 If your pool starts looking or sounding a little "off", don't wait. Getting onto a problem early can often prevent a much more expensive repair later on.

Outside of work, Jim enjoys keeping active, playing golf, exploring the Sunshine Coast and discovering great food with Trudi. His favourite place is Aitutaki in the Cook Islands, where his family is from and where his father still lives, while an African safari sits at the top of his travel bucket list.

What Jim values most about servicing Marcoola and Buderim are the relationships he's built with so many wonderful customers over the years. Those friendships are what make this more than just a job.

If you're around Bribie Island or Ningi, we'd love you to meet Ric... one of the friendly faces helping keep local pools sparkling! 😊

Before joining Jim's Pool Care 12 months ago, Ric worked as a finance broker. These days, he's much happier swapping the office for sunshine, fresh air and a different challenge every day.
What he enjoys most is meeting great people, solving problems and helping families enjoy crystal clear pools. ☀️💦

One of his more memorable finds? An unbelievable amount of broken glass covering the bottom of a pool! 😳

His best pool care tip is a simple one...
💦 Brush your pool walls and floor regularly... even when they look clean!

When he's not working, you'll find Ric playing guitar, hitting the gym or spending time with his family. He's a bush over beach kind of guy, loves camping, never says no to a long black coffee... and if there's an old school jam doughnut nearby, it's probably disappearing! 🍩☕

What Ric loves most about servicing Bribie Island and Ningi is the stunning scenery, the underrated beaches and the genuine people who make it such a fantastic place to live.

💦 MEET THE TEAM... Josh & Maddi | Jim's Pool Care Maroochydore, Alexandra Headland, Cotton Tree & Kuluin 💦

At Jim's Pool Care, we're lucky to have some incredible people looking after our local communities... and today we'd love you to meet Josh and Maddi. 😊

They've been part of the Jim's Pool Care family for nearly 18 months, bringing together an interesting mix of experience. Maddi previously worked in property management, while Josh served almost seven years in the Australian Army before joining the Australian Border Force. Together, they make a great team with a real passion for helping people and solving problems.

Josh especially loves the technical side of the job... new equipment installs, plumbing and troubleshooting. As for the strangest thing they've found in a pool? Let's just say Airbnb pools after bucks parties have produced a few stories... and they've even found baby brown snakes in skimmer boxes! 🐍😅

Their biggest pool tip is simple...

💦 Water balance is everything. A little preventative maintenance goes a long way, and if chemistry isn't your thing... that's what we're here for!

When they're not working, you'll usually find them making the most of the Sunshine Coast... beach days, hiking, camping, local markets and trying new places to eat. They love that everything is so close - "We can be at Alex Beach in 10 minutes... it's hard not to love living and working here." 🌴☀️

Friends describe Josh as having Golden Retriever energy, while Maddi is known for being strong willed, feisty and caring... a combination that keeps things fun! 😄
