On this stunning 70-foot Sunreef catamaran at Gold Coast, berthed near South Stradbroke Island, we completed a full sand and refinish of the lounge, kitchen, entry, and all 21 stair treads.

The original floor was a prefinished dark-stained engineered American Oak. The brief? Send it home with a lighter, cleaner, non-yellow look that better suits luxury coastal living.

After sampling multiple sections, the client selected a low, invisible tone with an extra matte finish — sealed with Loba AT Supra Ceramic Coating for maximum scratch resistance and long-term durability. A wise choice on an engineered floor with a very thin wearable top layer where protection is everything.

Established in 1924, the Southport Surf Life Saving Club has been a cornerstone of the Gold Coast community, safeguarding Main Beach and nurturing generations of lifesavers. Its heritage-listed clubhouse, constructed in 1936, stands as a testament to nearly a century of dedication and service .

I had the honour of breathing new life into the original timber floors of this iconic building. Sanded to a fine finish and sealed with premium Loba coatings, I applied an anti-slip topcoat to ensure safety and compliance without compromising the character of the space.

Preserving the legacy of such a historic site requires meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for its story. As a solo craftsman, I take pride in delivering personalised, high-quality workmanship that honours the past while enhancing the future.
