They are desperate as hell to break...good luck guys...Just another of my emails
Record of Events – Aerial Activity and Associated Incidents
Dear LACC, NSW Ombusdsam & NSW Police
This started yesterday when I had to leave my home because of the constant harassment. I was just trying to secure my employment for Monday, speaking to people, trying to enjoy the sun in my backyard, and I took it for as long as I could. Eventually, I couldn’t take it anymore. Someone really needs to visit the ground here to understand how loud it is. I’d be surprised if nobody else in the area has complained.
When I got home from Wollongong, obviously the aircraft had needed to refuel. While they were refuelling, it was peaceful — like it used to be. That was the only break my neighbours had as well. As soon as I returned, they came back. They don’t stop. They cover the whole neighbourhood and affect many people. This used to be such a quiet place, even beside the army camp. You could hear a pin drop.
Yesterday on the road to Appin, one police car had its searchlights on while we were travelling 100 km/h in opposite directions. I turned mine off; they kept theirs on as they passed the bend, and it caused me to swerve. Shortly after that, I received two notifications on my phone, and both times the aircraft arrived shortly afterwards. These appear to line up with the same two aircraft that have followed me for the last five days from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily, non-stop — sometimes three, possibly four.
The purpose of visiting so many logged, photographed, and timestamped locations today was to waste their fuel, because this has become ridiculous. I spent $50 on fuel today; I’d like to know how much was spent on two aircraft just to play this game with me. I’m desensitised to all of this now — helicopters, planes, safety checks — it’s all normalised. This email is for the record and nothing more.
Additional Notes on Locations Visited Today
For clarity in my own observations, I drove to several specific locations to see whether the same aerial activity would continue. One of these stops was at the Lucas Heights / ANSTO precinct, where I have previously completed work, including at the childcare centre. I parked only in the public childcare centre car park, and shortly afterwards aircraft passed directly over the site.
Throughout the day, I visited several lookouts and public areas, including Bulla Pass Lookout and other popular vantage points. At each location I remained only briefly, and in multiple instances aircraft appeared overhead shortly after my arrival. Because this happened repeatedly and publicly, people around me could see it. I even made casual comments to tourists who were looking confused as the aircraft circled above well-known public locations minutes after I got there.
When I got home later, the aircraft were already back. They had obviously just refuelled, and the noise returned immediately. It affects my neighbours as much as it affects me. The only break they get is when I physically leave my home, which says enough on its own.
I spoke to an incredible number of people today. Everywhere I went, people saw the planes circling and then looking at me as though wondering what was going on. It was not discreet. These aircraft flew over sporting fields with children, low enough to intimidate, and over tourist lookouts where I had only just arrived. On this trip alone they followed me from Sydney to Wollongong and back, alongside other assets used for acoustics and visual intimidation.
I now have all the information I need. I won’t be paying further attention to the aircraft or logging any more material with your office. This message is strictly for the record.
Regards,
Ben Emerson
